Whisper's Crew

Captain Travis Firth plus crew

Captain Travis Firth, 28, Australian.
Travis hails from Melbourne, Australia. He has been on Whisper since her build, and is thoroughly experienced in all aspects of the yacht. He served first as mate/engineer and has worked his way up to the position of captain. He holds an IYT Yachtmaster License, an MCA 200gt Master of Yachts Commercially Endorsed and is also a trained marine engineer. Travis is an accomplished surfer, wake-boarder and water-skier and particularly enjoys having families onboard. He is the perfect charter captain....and can also mix a mean cocktail!

Engineer, Kevin Brown, 26, American. Kevin has been working on charter boats for over five years, both on power and sail. He spent two years on Arabella, a 20 stateroom three masted staysail schooner, first as deckhand and then as engineer. He also worked as engineer for two years on the power yacht, Aspen Alternative. His licenses include a Marine Systems Technology degree, ABYC Certified Technician, USCG 100 Ton, and an MCA AEC. Kevin enjoys hiking, golf, small boat sailing, and adventure travel.

Mate Christophe Ribault, French

Chef Chris Deighan, American
Chris Deighan has worked as a personal chef for the last 7 years, alternating between Mountain homes in Vail, Colorado and private & charter yachts in the Caribbean and the East Coast. Prior to that, Chris worked in restaurants in Chicago, Seattle, Birmingham, MI and Cologne, Germany. He has studied Thai cooking in Australia and Italian cooking in the South of France. He enjoys cooking for families and groups, as the challenge of variety is always exciting.

Stewardess: Ulrike Spanjer, 32 Dutch. Ulrike has been working on charter boats (sail and power)for the past 2 years. She's worked in the hospitality industry for 17 years and holds a degree in hotel management and hospitality service. She has sailed all her life and has many miles to her name. Ulrike enjoys water sports, art, music, yoga, diving and sailing.
