Miranda's Sample Menus

On Board the Yacht TABOO we are committed to Quality, Freshness and Flavor From our Freshly prepared sauces, soups, crisp garden salads to Miranda's extensive array of homebaked breads, desserts and sweets. Our ship's stores are a collection of top quality wines and spirits.

Our Menu has been designed to help our guests in acquiring foods lower in calories, fats and cholesterol. Additionally, we can accommodate special dietary requests.

Breakfast


Continental: Assorted breakfast cereals and granola served with fresh sectioned grapefruits and an assortment of hot cinnamon Danish, blueberry and honey raisin bran muffins and freshly baked croissants with chilled orange juice.

Crispy baked bacon and herb scrambled eggs with homemade hashbrowns,
whole wheat toast or English muffins.

Orange blossom French toast or hot waffles
served with maple orange syrup with oven-baked sausages.

Buttermilk or blueberry pancakes with coconut
or banana topping and mango syrup.

Eggs Benedict served with freshly made Hollandaise sauce, fresh slices of orange and cantaloupe and champagne mimosa drinks.

All breakfast served with Robertson's English jams and marmalade,
assorted chilled orange, apple and grapefruit juices, coffee or tea.

Mid-morning snack of fresh fruits and granola or chocolate bars.

Lunch

A different salad each day ...

Fresh spinach salad with bacon dressing
Greek salad with feta cheese and Greek olives
German potato salad
Romaine salad with plum tomatoes
Vegetable pasta salad with grated Parmesan cheese
The salad of the day is served
with a choice of dressings including Miranda's homemade vinaigrette.

The Main Dish is one of the following:

A choice of hot from the oven crab, asparagus or Quiche Lorraine

Taboo's highly acclaimed salmon mousse

French or homemade mushroom pate, pate maison and pate de champagne,
all served with a sweet sherry Cumberland sauce

Selections of cold meats, smoked ham, turkey, roast beef, pastrami
and a full side of smoked salmon with capers

Halved avocado stuffed with baby shrimps in a light cream sauce

Served daily with the main dish is a selection of Dutch gouda cheeses, smoked, herb, spices and regular creamy. French bread and rolls.

Fresh fruits of the season and light carrot cake or homemade banana bread or chocolate fudge brownies.

 

Cocktail Hors d’oeuvres


Served every day between 4 and 6.

Includes an excellent array of tasty snacks to tempt your appetite along with your choice of afternoon cocktail or sample Miranda's marvelous rum punch.

Orange Rosemary Pork tenderloin New York strip charcoal grilled steaks

Fresh grilled catch-of-the-day: Marlin, Wahoo, Swordfish, Dorado

Shrimp and scallop mornay in puff pastry

Seafood raspberry salad with three cheese tortellini

All dinners served with hot buttery rolls and garlic bread and a choice of two fresh vegetables:
