Mike and Louise Hutchins

Mike and Louise relish their life on the water. Their easy-going style and a vast knowledge of the islands enhances the vacation experience. They have a reputation for indulging their guests with the best experiences these islands have to offer.

Mike has many years of experience sailing, from the smallest boats to the largest yachts. He first sailed dinghy’s at the age of 6 on the river Thames in London, U.K. By the age of 10, he was sailing yachts with his grandfather in the English Channel. Later, his experience as a sailor expanded to other parts of Europe, the Mediterranean, Australia and a trans-Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean. Today he is a commercially endorsed, professional yachtmaster.

"I have a passion for the freedom of the ocean. It inspires me to share my spirit of adventure with others. I delight in helping others experience an once-in-a-lifetime adventure that they might not have known otherwise." says Mike. When he’s not sailing, Mike enjoys windsurfing, kayaking, diving, and waterskiing.

Louise also loves the water and is passionate about island life. Her interest in the theory of sailing has rewarded her with a day-skipper license. She’s also an accomplished sailor, completing two Atlantic crossings, Mediterranean and English Channel passages.

Her desire to delight others with delicious foods, as well as her insightful experimentation in the galley has earned her the well-deserved reputation of serving up some of the best local and classic dishes afloat!

Previously, Louise was trained as a sound engineer in London. She has a love of live music that is infectious. Her zest for life and social graces weave a winning combination for all who meet her. You will never forget a sailing adventure hosted by Louise!

Mike and Louise, married in August 2006, and are both from Portsmouth England. After 5 years of sailing together, they have rounded off a perfect partnership. Their combined sailing ability and hospitality ensures a brilliantly balanced on-the-water experience.
