Island Voyager's Crew
Captain Mark Robinson, Laura Walters
and Chef Kinga Nowicka
Captain Mark Robinson traces his seafaring roots
to Ireland where his great grandfather crewed aboard the sailing
yacht “Myra” in Strangford Lough during the late 1800’s.
He began his own maritime career sailing the world aboard ocean
liners, freighters and research vessels in the U.S. Merchant Marine.
Having seen the Caribbean from the decks of large ships, he returned
to the Virgin Islands as a deckhand aboard the Brigantine Romance.
For nine years he and three partners built a 57’ ketch,
aptly named Perseverance. He and his wife sailed and chartered
her extensively throughout the Caribbean. Eventually they were
based in Tortola, British Virgin Islands where they operated charter
yachts for Endless Summer Charters. In 1987, they moved back to
Massachusetts to raise a family. After 20 years of operating private
yachts in New England, Florida, the Bahamas and the West Indies,
Captain Mark returns to chartering in the Virgin Islands.
An avid SCUBA and free diver Captain Mark holds a USCG 500 ton
masters license, and complete STCW certificates, along with CPR
and First Aid training. He brings a lifetime of experience and
enthusiasm to Island Voyager. He is professional yet easy going,
with an excellent reputation in the yachting industry. An engaging
raconteur, he is able to establish a rapport with guests of all
ages. He has extensive knowledge of the Virgin Islands and enjoys
creating a custom vacation for all his guests. A charter aboard
Island Voyager with Captain Mark is a truly enjoyable and memorable

Provider, and trained in infant, child and adult CPR.
Chef Kinga
Nowicka:
Kinga’s love of cooking began while growing up
in Warsaw, Poland and spending her summers on a farm in the countryside.
At an early age, her mother discovered her natural abilities when
she couldn’t keep her out of the kitchen. Thus, she was
always involved in the preparation of elaborate family meals.
Her skills evolved throughout the years, and her professional
career officially began while living in Los Angeles. While working
under the legendary Wolfgang Puck, she decided that this was her
true calling in life. However, something was lacking. She always
dreamt of combining her love of travel, cooking and the high seas.
While visiting Newport, Rhode Island, she was introduced to the
yachting industry by a friend. Miss Nowicka began working as a
stewardess/deckhand on a 160' schooner and quickly rose through
the ranks. Shortly thereafter, she found herself taking on the
challenge and responsibility of being head chef. Since then Kinga
has worked on several yachts cruising the Eastern Seaboard, Bahamas,
and Caribbean giving her years of experience and making her a
well-rounded and capable seamen. Furthermore, her passion for
travel has brought her to various continents including Europe,
Asia, and Central America. This versatile exposure has impacted
her culinary style and palate. Kinga enjoys using seasonal and
organic ingredients to create dishes that are both mouth watering
and pleasing to the eye. Her light and healthy touch matches perfectly
with the exotic beauty of the Caribbean.
