Andy and Elli are an enthusiastic couple with a passion for sailing
and entertaining. They met whilst both working at a local water
sports centre, Andy as a windsurfing instructor and Elli as a children’s
activity leader. Andy quickly introduced his love of sailing to
Elli which became a hobby they both decided must become a lifestyle!
With the mix of life experiences they have, both individually and
as a couple, and their contagious love of the sea they will provide
an unforgettable experience for you on Swish.
Andy is a passionate and dedicated sailing Skipper having completed
numerous yacht deliveries including an Atlantic crossing from Antigua
to Palma De Mallorca. Andy’s love of the sea started as a
young boy when enjoying family holidays in North Wales. As an adult
Andy reignited this passion and began to sail recreationally both
in North Wales and Scotland. His ambitious nature and love of the
water led him to become a commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster,
an RYA windsurfing instructor and an RYA powerboat instructor. Having
worked commercially on the Irish Sea, skippering crew and supply
transfer vessels servicing offshore Wind farms, Andy’s commitment
to safety will ensure you always feel relaxed and at ease whilst
on board. Andy is always keen to introduce people to sailing and
is a patient and encouraging teacher, with a wealth of stories,
having traveled extensively and run his own businesses. Andy is
also an entertaining host. So whether you want to sit back and relax
or get involved with the sailing, Andy will tailor your holiday
to suit your needs.
With Andy’s first love being the water, Elli, an experienced
Chef, has a great passion for cooking and looking after people.
Having worked in the hospitality industry since her early teens,
Elli went on to complete a degree in Primary Teaching then worked
in local schools teaching children ranging from 4 to 10 years old.
Elli has a natural ability with children and never tires of finding
new ways to entertain them, from baking cupcakes to mini water Olympics!
With a love for sailing and cooking, Elli has gained her RYA Dayskipper
ticket in North Wales, completed a marine hospitality and cookery
course at the internationally recognised United Kingdom Sailing
Academy and, more recently, an advanced cookery course at Ashburton
Cookery school where she worked with professional Chefs to develop
her culinary skills further. Elli takes her influences from both
family recipes and cuisine from all over the world; she prides herself
in taking fresh ingredients and enhancing their healthy, natural
flavours, with a few decadent desserts for good measure!
