The Alex Simonis fractional Sloop Sailing Catamaran has ample headroom (7 Ft) throughout and boasts a large saloon area with panoramic views that can be enjoyed when seated at the bar weather you are enjoying a drink on anchor or while under way. 

The dining/saloon area is on the same level as the hi tech Galley. From this airy and spacious area the large double sliding doors lead you onto the cockpit.

Captain Charlie Bruinette and Chef Dixie Van Orman

Charlie, a South African, is a licensed offshore Yacht Master with over 38,000 sea miles, and though he is one of the most experienced skippers in the British Virgin Islands, rest assured that no matter what your level of sailing experience, Charlie will make you feel comfortable as he shares his love of sailing with you.

Charlie has also spent hundreds of hours under the sea as a professional diver. He looks forward to taking certified divers on many underwater adventures of tropical fish and colorful reefs in the BVI’s. Charlie’s fun and safe outlook along with his intimate knowledge above and below the water ensure that whether you want to dive, snorkel and water-ski or prefer to relax and soak up the sun’s rays, your Caribbean experience will be everything you have dreamed about.

Dixie is a Canadian who loves to sail and travel, and was one of the original crew who sailed Liahona to the Caribbean from South Africa!

Dixie brings an international flavor to meals aboard Liahona. Her creative flair with food began with a love of entertaining and she constantly expands her talents with formal chef courses in different locations where she travels. Her latest specialties are Thai and Chinese! Her menu’s are always tailored to her guests and she specializes in creative uses of local specialties that ensure your taste buds are always enticed.

As a hostess, Dixie is also full of creative ideas to help make your time aboard Liahona the trip of a lifetime.
