Chateau Charters is you bed & Breakfast on the water, where you wake up each day to a new experience on a different island and you haven't left your room.

Relax on two sun tanning mattresses and twin trampolines. This generous use of warm golden cherry wood and fine cabinetry work throughout, places this vessel in a class of its own.

Chateau is a luxurious 42' Privilege catamaran French built to the highest standards. Catamarans are renowned for their comfort, stability and incredible roominess. Chateau is both exhilarating and exotic. She sails at double digit speeds in the warm Caribbean trade winds and is beautifully appointed with a tropical decor and rich cherry wood throughout.

There are three very private and spacious double guest staterooms decorated in a playful tropical decor, each with its own head, sink and shower. Chateau has many opening hatches and ports to fill the cabins with fragrant  Caribbean breezes. The bright and cheery main salon is at cockpit level with all around visibility and not steps to clamber up and down

For sun worshippers there are two large trampolines forward, two sunbeds skirting the cockpit and two pulpit seats where you can watch the graceful bows cut through the water or perhaps spot dolphins frolicking in your wake.

If shade is your calling the expansive bimini covers the entire cockpit. Share the days pleasures and the magic of what is yet to come while sipping on a cool one in the cushioned cockpit and around the spacious teak table. Or, take a deck chair an sit in the shade of the sails... yes while sailing... chateau sails level!

Activities abound aboard Chateau pick your pleasure swim in the azure Caribbean waters, snorkel in and around the reefs and treasure caves, windsurf those perfect tropical breezes, relax  on a floating sun mattress or kayak anywhere your heart desires. have a pleasurable day exploring the trails through the awe inspiring giant boulders at the Baths on Virgin Gorda, shop at the colorful little village of Sopers Hole on Tortola or spend an evening swaying with the beat of the Caribbean rhythms at Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke.

Doug was born in London Ontario and has worked in Michigan, U.S. for the last 10 years as a Sales Engineer. Doug is a certified sailing instructor with Canadian Yachting Association and has his Boatmasters License in the BVI's. He has also completed the USCG safety training course. Doug has sailed in the BVI's for the past 13 winters and owns a monohaul in Ontario as well. Doug has raced extensively including racing from Pt. Huron to Mackinaw. Doug's children grew up on a sailboat as most week-ends he would pack the family up and head for the boat to sail the beautiful waters of Lake Huron. Doug is an excellent captain, he is extremely patient and an enthusiastic teacher. Doug encourages both novice and seasoned sailors to particpate in sailing "Chateau".

Barb was born in Sarnia, Ontario and has spent the last 21 years working as an accountant for BDO. As accounting work was quite seasonal Barb was able to enjoy the benefits of living on Lake Huron. She owned and operated a 26' Grampion "Bannana Split". Barb loves to share her passion of sailing with friends and family. She has also raced in Lake Huron and visited the BVI's on 4 occasions before making this her new home. Barb is a warm, bubbly hostess and excellent first mate to Captain Doug.

Barb and Doug were recently married in Canada and moved to BVI's to retire on "Chateau". Having both worked most of their lives they were concerned they might get bored sailing by themselves every day so they have decided to offer their home and themselves to the chartering business so they will be able to share their enthusiasm and passion for sailing with the rest of the world.
