Captain Arthur Banting and Chef Helen Lunkenheimer,

Captain Arthur Banting was born in Amsterdam Holland. He hasas dedicated his life to the sea. For years he has been running various charter and private yachts throughout the Caribbean. Captain Arthur is also a commercial diver, kite surf instructor and always up for an adventure.

Having grown up on a boat from the age of 4, when Arthur’s parents sailed from Holland on a round the world sailing trip that would last 12 years and 110.000 miles, later they decided to settle down on the island of Saint Maarten, where at the age of 16 Arthur became the 1st mate on falcon a 60 ft brooks design charter cat. Soon after he took up the position of captain.

Since then has worked on all types of yachts, ranging from high speed ferry’s to luxury motor yachts, racing multihuls to traditional schooners. To this day, with over 20 years experience as a professional yacht captain, Arthur still loves to share his passion for the sea, and show his guests some of the most beautiful and secluded spots in the Caribbean .

Favorite pastimes include multihull racing, fishing, diving, surfing, kite surfing, reading, traveling.

CHEF: Helen Lunkenheimer is originally from upstate New York. She graduated in 2003 from Syracuse University with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.

In November 2009, she decided to change her course and pursue a career in the yachting industry. She’s lived in several places on the east coast of the U.S. and most recently spent the last three years in Newport, Rhode Island, where she discovered a love for sailing. Cooking is her new love and she has combined it with her passion for sailing. Her many interests including surfing, snorkeling, diving, fishing and traveling.
